Rodney Dunn - The Agrarian Kitchen, Tasmania

There is nothing more frustrating than the mixture that get trapped
between bottom of the paddle and the bowl. Having to stop the beater
to scrape down the sides of the bowl is downright annoying. Which is
why the BeaterBlade has become the standard paddle, used in our
classes with our kitchen aid mixers.

A "cooking school in a class of it's own", the Agrarian Kitchen is a sustainable farm-based cooking school situated in a 19th century schoolhouse at Lachlan, 45 minutes from Hobart in Tasmania’s Derwent Valley, Australia. The Agrarian Kitchen was established by former Food Editor of Australian Gourmet Traveller, Rodney Dunn and his wife Séverine who moved from Sydney to Tasmania in July 2007 to transform the schoolhouse into Tasmania’s first hands-on, farm-based cooking school.  The Agrarian Kitchen has received rave reviews from bloggers, in magazines and featured on local and overseas tv programmes.  We'll be heading to Lachlan later in the year to experience the cooking school first-hand.  Watch this space!  You can read more about The Agrarian Kitchen at www.theagrariankitchen.com

Whenever there is a food-related question in the fullyBaked kitchen, our first port of call is Stephanie's 'The Cook's Companion'.  Happily the Kitchen Garden Companion is now part of our kitchen too.

What a clever design the BeaterBlade is! It saves all that stopping and starting and having to scrape down the sides of the mixer bowl two or three times whenever I'm making a cake.

Kate McGhie - Award-winning food writer, cookbook author, Herald-Sun columnist (Melbourne)

We find two very important advantages with the BeaterBlade.

BeaterBlade is marvellous for:

  • reducing noise whilst beating
  • can handle very small amounts of mixture
  • ensures uniform creaming of ingredients
  • scrapes every morsel from the bowl
